Efrat Gommeh

Efrat Gommeh lives in Pardes Hanna-Karkur, Israel.

Efrat holds a master’s degree in Industrial Design, with specialization in Design Management (M.des), from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design Jerusalem. Efrat received her bachelor degree in Industrial Design from HIT – Holon Institute of Technology, spending a semester in the Design Academy Eindhoven, as an exchange student.

From 2008 to 2009, Efrat was a lecturer at Kibbutzim College of Education, Technology and the Arts, The School of Arts and Technology, Unit of Design Arts, Tel Aviv. From 2004 to 2006, she lectured at Avni Institute – The College of Art and Design Tel-Aviv, Industrial Design Department.

- A six-month visiting scholarship in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, awarded by the Bernese Foundation for Applied Arts and Design (2009);
- "Bezalel" – The President's scholarship for research in design, for a work in the field of Universal Design (2008);
- "Industrial design prize competition 2005", Furniture and Lighting category, Ministry of Industry, Trade & Labor – Second prize (2005);
- Design competition in the theme of 'childhood', Contemporary Design pavilion, "RIHUTIM 2005" – Honorable Mention (2004);
- "TIMEX 2154 the future of time" competition – Honorable Mention (2004);
- "BECK'S PRIZE design a key and what it opens" – Honorable Mention (2004);
- "Product Design for the home and for the office" competition, in the frame of "Plasto-Ispack 2003" – First prize (2003);
- "Design in Polypropylene" competition, held by "Mapal Plastic Products" – Second prize (2001).
